Tip received 10/10/25 WHOLE CHILD SURVEY:
A message from INDIAN HILL HIGH SCHOOL
September 12, 2025
Dear Indian Hill High School Families,
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our District. As you may already be aware, since 2021 we have been focusing on Learners as Doers, Learners as Individuals, and Learners as the Whole child as part of our strategic plan, IHPromise. It is time to gain feedback from our students about how they feel about our work on Learners as the Whole Child so that we can make revisions for the remainder of this school year.
We will be asking for your child to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning with an online survey they will be completing within the school day. The survey should take no more than 20-30 minutes to complete.
The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on Self-Management, Social Awareness, Supportive Relationships, and Sense of Belonging.
We are asking that all of our students participate in the surveys, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our District to their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. The responses to these surveys will be completely confidential. We are partnering with a third-party vendor to support us in administering these surveys.
If you would like more information about the surveys, you can find a sample here:
Grades 6-12 BRAVE Character Education Survey
After reviewing this information, you may choose to remove your child from this survey opportunity by completing this form. The deadline for this form completion is Friday, September 19 at 12:00 pm.
If you have any questions about the survey, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s school.
Dedicated to the success of our Braves,
Melissa Stewart, Ed.D.Assistant Superintendent

We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about cultivating cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion in their homes. This group is designed to learn how to have conversations on hard topics that affect our families, schools, and children in a way that promotes acceptance, understanding, and helps us teach our children to be better prepared to thrive in a diverse society.

Tip received 10/7/25: Indian Hill Parent Equity Group: (2017/2018 school year)
Greetings to all the new parents who will be joining us this year in the IH Parent Equity Group! We are so excited to have all of you on board with our group this year and willing to participate in meaningful, challenging, and growth producing conversations. Our first meeting is this Tuesday September12th from 6-7:30 (7:30-8pm will be set aside for anyone that signs up for a subcommittee to meet with their group-more to come on this Tuesday night) in the Middle School Multi-Purpose room. The best way to get to the Multi-Purpose room is through the Middle School West Wing entrance, located on the same side of the building as the Bravesline shop and HS auditorium entrance. This will be our meeting spot for the remainder of the school year. As a reminder our meetings are aligned with board meeting nights which typically falls on the second Tuesday of every month.
We have a lot of new parents signed up for this school year so I want to give you a little information on what to expect in the meetings. We will have time in the beginning of the meetings for announcements from the group leaders, principals (school staff that may attend), followed by an introduction of the material for discussions, then we will break out into small groups. Because our group is designed to produce growth through experience and conversations we will break out into small groups each meeting setting an environment that will allow for everyone to talk. Ideally these groups will remain the same throughout the entire year so that you have the opportunity to get to know one another, develop trust, and engage in deepening discussions. This group dynamic also makes it important to commit to coming to all the meetings. Inevitably, life happens and you will miss a meeting or two, but mentally committing to prioritize the group is a step toward making sure you and your group will get the most out of this experience.
We have a lot planned for this year in progressing our homes and supporting our schools toward empowering our children to be culturally competent. Welcome to the IH Parent Equity Group 2017/18-Empowering, Engaging, and Effecting our community!
If you have any questions please feel free to reply to this email and Ronita or I will get back to you.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday,
