WELLINGTON

Tip received 10/10/25: > Rewarding kids with an extra 15 minutes of recess and bring able to bring a stuffed animal to school . ???? Recess should be art of the curriculum and how is bringing a stuffed animal to school considered a reward . There should be a show and tell day . And this school district also takes away recess or minutes of recess as punishment for disruptive behavior. And that is so wrong especially for young children who cannot sit still for 6-7 hours and need movement. And this school district is so focused on this PBIS and SEL to control the kids and coerce their behaviors . It’s psychological manipulation. Assuming that all kids have behavior issues. Rewarding them with pride tickets when their behavior is good . My grandson will bring home a pride ticket and not even know why he earned it and the teacher doesn’t notify me either . She just messages me about disruptive behavior never and positive comments. And a lot of the so called disruptive behavior is normal for a 7 yr old boy . They’re all onbehavior patrol .
