Logan Elm is teaching SEL "guided lessons," "Be a Brave"  and "Sources of Strength"The curriculum being sent home to students and parents says SEL on the rotation.

This is my son’s impact schedule….it just says SEL.  I’ve meet with the superintendent twice, he says they are not teaching the things in the SEL standard curriculum however, I’ve asked multiple times for the next-weeks instructional curriculum and was never provided any of it.  My son is in 5th grade at Logan Elm.  The principal stated they are teaching things like “life lessons”, how to greet someone, how to give a firm handshake, my son said he’s never learned anything like that…and states it’s all about emotions.  I do know they are using the “Sources of Strength” curriculum wheel if that helps. I printed the opt-out form that I found online I think provided by you guys and he has been removed from the class.  I’m attaching a copy of the impact schedule so you can see it.
