Tip received 5/1/23:
At the prom last weekend, a boy was voted queen and a girl voted king. I and others plan to discuss this at the board meeting. While it may seem trivial, this is another case of an opportunity being taken from a girl; and also, from a boy this time. Some are calling us haters for our stance on this, but that couldn't be further from the truth. No ill will is wished against this boy voted Queen. In fact, I hope he can find peace within himself. We love all people and wish all the best. The bigger issue though is this is evidence that Kettering schools seem to be pushing the notion that students should question the gender they were created as by God.

I recorded the Kettering School board meeting on Tuesday and one of the school board members read a prepared statement. Of interest to me is thee basis the District is using in its application of Transgender accommodations.
In summary, the district conforming to the pressures being put on them by the federal government.
I captured the following notes from the conversation:
- Transgender- Privacy of all students- Title 9 of 1972- Equal Protecton laws of the US constitution- US Department of Education laws for civil rights enforcement- Duty Bound to follow- Can not descrimininate based on sex which includes sexualorientation.- When we have a student or parent that request accommodation regarding a students gender identity, the objective is todevelop a support plan between the student, the parent orguardian and the school.
Sent a request from the district for the following:Name of the board member that read the prepared statementTranscript of of what was read to those who attended the meeting after the public response section of the meeting. Written school policy regarding Transgender studentsLaws that were cited that the district must abide by.
